Substitutes for Caravane cheese

A substitute changes the dish. The note says how.

• BrieBrie has a soft bloomy rind and a creamy paste for a board when this Mauritanian brand cannot be found.
• CamembertCamembert de Normandie is a small bloomy cheese that can stand in for spreading, though the milk is not the same.
